This beautiful girl came to us from Genesee County Animal Control a few months ago, joining our Foster to Forever program. Her new mom had been searching for a special dog after losing her beloved pet, looking for just the right personality and connection. When we met her, we knew Elena could be that perfect match based on everything our rescue coordinator shared.
In Foster to Forever, Elena had the chance to settle in with her new mom and feel truly at home while we completed her vet care. She even had a trial period to make sure everything felt right. And one special moment sealed the deal: during a car ride, Elena scooted over to comfort her mom in an emotional moment. It was in that instant they both knew — Elena was exactly where she was meant to be.
Since then, Elena has learned so much from her mom, mastering commands like sit, down, and kennel, and she’s even got a talent for catching treats! Together, they’ve made amazing memories, from beach outings to bonding time with her mom’s horse (yes, they’re friends!).
We couldn’t be happier for this sweet pair and the bond they share. Here’s to a lifetime of love, beach days, and happy moments — we’d say they’re the #perfectmatch!
