"Arlo found his forever home almost three weeks ago and he is the apple of his mom’s eye. He had a very rough start in life and SSPA literally saved his life.
They took him in and found him a wonderful foster home that nurtured him and kept him safe until his new mom found him. Since being home, Arlo has flourished. He is a gigantic toddler with a goofy personality and a sassy attitude. He loves his toys, his couch, his treats, and his mom. His favorite pastime is being held like a baby while chewing on whatever he can get his teens on. He’s working on manners and making good choices. But that’s not always easy when there are so many things to explore and eat. Arlo is about to celebrate his first birthday and his mom cannot wait to celebrate him for this birthday and all the other ones to come.”

"Although my abilities to help were limited, I'm grateful SSPA has found a use for me, helping with fundraising and supplies when I can.
“I reached out to many rescues including Saving Souls Pet Alliance Inc. to let them know I can help with neonates and tube feeding, as well as special needs, supplies, and donations with my experience from working in Veterinary medicine and caring for a cleft affected puppy from birth. Senior pet care is my passion, but because of my dog Rye, I am limited to caring for only immobile, tiny babies, as she guards everything down to the water bowl from any new four-legged creature. Most rescues didn’t have a need for me, but I was fortunate to hear back from Stephanie. She was happy to find a place for me to fulfill my desire to help our furry friends in any way I could. I love seeing all the pets being adopted and fostered.“

"Saving Souls Pet Alliance was such a sweet rescue to work with and they brought us our goofy, naughty and oh so lovable Brezlin (formerly known as Legend).
Our family had wanted a Frenchie for years due to their size and typically fun, funny personalities; but I also knew we wanted to adopt. Generally, this breed would be difficult to find at a rescue but we waited patiently and lo and behold saw a description of Brez before we even saw a picture and knew he sounded like a great fit for our family. There are so many wonderful dogs in need of a good home, even if you’re looking for something specific- you really can find them through adoption. "I have fostered for multiple rescues, and Laura is the proud momma of one of my foster pups.
I’d like to share my experience with Saving Souls Pet Alliance. It all started when I got a chance seat assignment at a Grand Rapids Griffins hockey game and met Steph and Laura. I have fostered for multiple rescues, and Laura is the proud momma of one of my foster pups. In 2022, I found my niche rescuing spicy kittens. Last year, Steph and Laura asked me if I could take on a special case of two medically fragile kittens who were brothers. Of course, I said yes! Sadly, the two brothers didn’t make it, but the support I received from SSPA was fantastic. Currently, I’m fostering a wonderful momma cat and her six babies for them, and I couldn’t be happier with the team and the communication.“

"As an avid animal lover and someone who relies on a service dog, one of the hardest things was realizing I had reached the point where it was time to retire my faithful partner who had been by my side for years. The thought of not having my dog Ozzy with me any longer felt unbearable, but I also needed to be able to bring in a new service dog to carry on Ozzy's legacy.
Although our situation was a bit different in that Ozzy was already in a loving home and well-cared for, it was also time to let him just be a dog instead of a working animal. He had done his job and done it well, but I was lost in how to find the best placement for him. I knew I needed help to ensure Ozzy was placed in the absolute best home and family and Saving Souls was the answer to my prayers.
I reached out and explained my situation and was met with the most understanding, helpful group I could have ever wished for. Saving Souls Pet Alliance did everything from placing Ozzy on Pet Finder to performing all the background checks of potential adopters. All I had to do was “foster” my own dog! Not only that, but they arraigned the meet and greet so that I was able to meet the approved adopter and we were able to sit and talk about Ozzy and his needs and I was able to rest easy knowing Ozzy will be well cared for and loved for the rest of his life. Saving Souls truly works so hard to provide the absolute best for the animals they work with, and the people as well. They are not looking to just place an animal with whoever, but they strive to place the right animal with the right family. In our case, they matched Ozzy with someone who needs a dog with his personality, and where Ozzy will still be fulfilled by having someone special to devote himself to. Their genuine care and commitment to animals show in everything they do. We all got our perfect ending- Ozzy is living a great life with his new family (and I get updates and pictures!) and I am busy training my new service dog, but none of this would have been possible without Saving Souls Pet Alliance.”
